Brilliant place, and Ian is a great host.
Aircon, fan and TV in our room, comfy bed with an ocean view.
Heaps of amenities available including pool table, big TV, fully equipped kitchen, games, books.

Nous roulions vers Cairns quand nous avons été stoppé par les autorités due à de fortes inondations. L’unique route était fermé du coup il a fallu en urgence trouver un logement. Tous les hôtels ont été pris d’assaut. Nous avons finalement atterri chez Yan. En arrivant on a  trouvé le lieu insolite. Très baba cool très hippie. Il y en avait partout. C’est loin d’être un 5 étoiles mais les chambres sont propres et Yan met en plus à disposition une cuisine et des aliments. Thé, café, pâtes, riz, pain…..  la gentillesse de cet homme ! Un vrai humaniste. Son accueil, sa gentillesse et la propreté des chambres ont fait que nous avons passé une excellente nuit. Parfait pour les petits budgets, les jeunes, les backpakers. This accommodation was ideal for our family reunion.  With comfortable bedrooms upstairs and a large kitchen/ dining area and spacious living room, we were able to spread out, come together for fun times and have our own quiet area in the air conditioned bedrooms.  The location was picturesque, private, with a large area for cricket, footy and make shift water slides.   The

Old school, the owner is a gentleman and very accommodating. Was driving from Cairns to Townsville and rang him at 10pm at night and he still looked after us. The spot is on the beach and amazing, reasonably priced and like a border style accom but not lacking in anything. Fantastic for working trips.

Great place to stay near the beach.
We were able to take our dog which was great.
Billiard table was fun and a big TV with Netflix etc.
No need for amenities all provided.Aircons and fans.Also if you're an antique fan many antiques in the previous nuns retreat to look at.
Very interesting.
Just a few steps to the beach front and walkway and also a walk to the pub for meals etc.
Not far from supermarket too.
